Chaine Summer News and Offers

Ingrid Aielli, who is the co-owner of the Aielli Restaurant Group, Vice Conseiller Culinaire and a member of our board, is pleased to extend a summer discount of 10% to any Naples Chaine member and their party who dine in one of her group’s restaurants during May to August. The member should present their Chaine ID card or their MagTag badge to their server at the start of the meal. (Restaurants in the group are Dorona, Grappino, Barbatella, and Sea Salt here in Naples and St. Petersburg.)

Additionally, Ingrid has launched a brand new brunch concept at Dorona called BBQ, Bubbles & Brunch, available between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm on Saturdays only, offering brunch items like Fried Chicken and Waffles, Crab Cake Benedict, Fritta Florentine, and a special Brunch BBQ Platter for $25 per person.

I should also add that Chef Jason Goddard of the Aielli Restaurant Group was the winner of the 2021 Chef Showdown taking home top honors. Proceeds from the competition help fund scholarship programs in the hospitality and culinary arts in Lee and Collier counties.

In other news, Chaîne member Vincenzo Betulia, chef-owner of Osteria Tulia, Bar Tulia and The French, plans to open a second Bar Tulia at Mercato on April 21.

Chaîne member Dame Jennifer Dumichel (wife of our Treasurer Chris Marrie) is part of the management team at the Naples Grande Beach Resort, which has launched a Brunch a la Kitchen experience in its Catch of the Pelican restaurant. Every Saturday and Sunday, guests can watch the creation of seasonal dishes while enjoying the famous Bloody Mary bar and all-you-can-eat bites.

Sadly, Ciao Ristorante, owned by veteran Chaîne member Maître Rôtisseur Gianfranco Loreti, plans to close on May 9 after 34 years. Chef Loreti, who has toiled in the kitchen since Day One and has frequently hosted our events over the years, will now enjoy a much-deserved retirement and trips to his native Rome.
